A Large Urine Collection bag for easy placement on a bedpost. Used with external catheters it is ideal for helping with those that experience nighttime incontinence.
Check clamp on emptying tube at bottom of bag to insure that it is closed.
Attach drainage bag to bed by rotating plastic hooks and placing over bed frame.
Connect catheter by removing protective cap from drainage tubing and aseptically attach catheter. Secure tubing to sheet with bed clip so that tubing slants downward without loops.
To empty bag, pull tube from pocket, remove red cap, open clamp and drain contents inot a container. After emptying, close clamp, replace cap, and return to storage pouch.
To collect urine sample, prepare port site with disinfectant and withdraw sample using a 21 gauge or smaller needle.
